THE FIRM
Define the work. Control the handovers. Review the outcome.
An effective engagement makes responsibilities clear before activity starts. Our delivery framework separates understanding the requirement, accepting a scope, completing the work and reviewing the handover. The detail varies by assignment, but decisions, dependencies and unresolved matters should remain traceable throughout.
Establish the mandate
Discovery addresses the business context, reporting purpose, records, systems and deadlines. We may request a limited sample to assess the condition of the information. The proposed scope sets out deliverables, exclusions, fees, responsibilities and assumptions. An enquiry or introductory meeting does not itself constitute acceptance of an engagement.
Work through defined checkpoints
Once accepted, the assignment receives an information checklist and agreed contacts. Accounting work may follow collection, reconciliation and review stages. System work may require configuration, controlled migration and user acceptance. Changes to the brief are assessed before additional work proceeds. Missing records are recorded as dependencies rather than silently treated as complete.
Close with an accountable handover
The final discussion explains the output, relevant limitations, outstanding actions and the next owner of each task. A recurring service moves into an agreed timetable. A project closes with its authorised deliverables and any separately agreed support. Document revisions and later instructions are retained with their context rather than replacing the original decision history.
Common questions
What happens when the requested deadline is not achievable from the available records?
We explain the constraint and assess alternatives, such as a narrower initial scope or a staged output. A deadline is not guaranteed before assessment.
