VERIFICATION
Check the recorded issue details against the document you hold.
The report register provides a limited check of documents issued through Ghazi and Co's approved workflow. Use the unique verification link or reference supplied with the report. The result shows only the issue information authorised for public disclosure. It is not unrestricted access to the report or a substitute for reading its scope and limitations.
Check a report
Compare the relevant details
Check the displayed issuer, document type, reporting period, issue date, version and status against your copy where those fields are disclosed. A matching reference with inconsistent details requires further investigation. Client information and report contents are not published merely because someone knows a code. Some records may require an additional permitted detail before lookup.
Understand the status
Issued means a matching issue record is available; compare its details with the document. Superseded means a later version has replaced the issue, so request the current document. Withdrawn means the document is no longer a current issued report and the issuing team should be contacted. No match means the supplied details did not identify a record; it is not, by itself, a fraud conclusion.
Respect the verification boundary
A recorded issue does not guarantee the financial information, establish an audit opinion or promise acceptance by a bank, authority or other recipient. Any applicable professional identifier has its own purpose and verification process. The report's intended users, restrictions and professional conclusions must be assessed separately.
Common questions
Can the QR code prove that my file has not changed?
Not alone. It locates the issue record. Any file-integrity comparison must be an actual comparison with the issued file, not a claim inferred from scanning the link.
