BUSINESS SYSTEMS
Identify the constraint before commissioning the next change.
An existing finance system may be held back by configuration, data, permissions or an unclear process. Our operational review examines the selected workflow and its handovers before recommending a response. The aim is to define the issue and practical options, not assume that a replacement platform is always required.
Examine the working journey
We follow the agreed process from the initiating record to the output or decision it supports. Users explain the exceptions, delays and workarounds they encounter. Relevant configuration and access are reviewed within the scope. The assessment distinguishes an observed issue from a suspected cause that still needs evidence.
Separate process, data and technical matters
A missing approval step requires a different response from duplicate records or an unsupported integration. We classify the findings and identify dependencies. Potential changes are considered against the business need, user capacity and the actual system capabilities. Security testing, penetration testing or an independent assurance opinion is not included unless separately agreed and appropriately authorised.
Prioritise an actionable response
The handover can contain a findings register, options and recommended next steps. Management chooses which changes to approve. Implementation effort, vendor involvement and further investigation are identified where relevant. A review report should not describe a recommendation as already implemented or a proposed benefit as an achieved result.
Common questions
Can the review be limited to one troublesome process?
Yes. A focused examination may be the best starting point, provided related dependencies and the limits of the conclusion are stated.
