REPORTING SUPPORT

Organise the records before the independent examination begins.

Audit readiness helps a business prepare the schedules, records and responses needed for a separately commissioned audit. We can support the preparation process and coordinate agreed information requests. This service is distinct from carrying out an audit or issuing an audit opinion, and it must respect the responsibilities of management and the appointed auditor.

Understand the request list

We review the information requirements supplied for the assignment and identify relevant owners, sources and deadlines. Schedules should relate to the correct entity and period and be supported by the underlying records. Where a request is unclear, clarification is sought rather than preparing an answer that assumes the auditor's intention.

Organise evidence and outstanding questions

The work may include assembling reconciliations, arranging supporting documents and maintaining a request-status schedule. Gaps, inconsistent versions and unresolved balances remain visible. Proposed accounting changes require appropriate management approval. We do not create evidence for transactions that cannot be supported by the actual records.

Coordinate the handover

The agreed output can include a structured evidence set and an open-items register for management and its appointed auditor. Access and confidentiality arrangements are confirmed before material is shared. The auditor retains responsibility for audit procedures and conclusions. Readiness work cannot guarantee an unmodified opinion, completion date or external acceptance.

Common questions

Can you assist when the audit has already started?

A defined support assignment may still be useful, subject to the auditor's requirements, available records and any professional independence considerations.
